Fundraising Projects for 2018

Historic Vessel Restoration

Help the museum restore its fleet! The museum has two historic vessels representative of wooden boat-building in Huskisson in the 20th century, CREST and KINGFISHER. They are being restored by an active group of volunteers but we urgently need money for materials and equipment. CREST was built in 1911 by the Dent family and Kingfisher, nearly 40 years later, on the banks of Currambene Creek not far from the museum. These vessels are included on the Australian Register of Historic Vessels managed by the Australian National Maritime Museum.  All donations received help to buy much needed materials for the restoration.  Contributions are always welcome every bit helps!

Wirrecoo Spring Garden Appeal (July - September)

Spring is coming and we are seeking donations for the purchase of native plants for the Wirreecoo Wildflower Garden and the Keith Moore Garden, as they need a little love. Help us make our gardens the best in the area!  It has been a long dry spell and it is time replenish ready for the spring rains.  Help the Australian Plant Society and our volunteers who keep the gardens in tip top shape.

Ferry Well Refurbishment 2018

The Museum is opening up the space beneath the Lady Denman Ferry as an exhibition space.  This dynamic view of the ferry will be supported with three new exhibitions about recreational water-craft, marine life, and early boat-building on Currambene Creek.   Your donation will help us to build new showcases for our displays!
