The Halloran Contemporary Art Prize is an acquisitive art prize that engages with and responds to the Halloran Collection: Science & the Sea. The 2025 theme is ‘time’.
A selection of finalists’ artworks produced in response to the Museum’s Science and the Sea Collection, a diverse collection displayed in the manner of an eighteenth century curiosity cabinet, or Wunderkammer, including artworks, nautical equipment, scrimshaw, navigational equipment such as sextants, figureheads, historical weapons, and much more.
People’s Choice prize will be awarded at the conclusion of the exhibition. Be sure to cast your vote when you visit!
