A correspondent writes:
nThere will be launched shortly at Woollamia, Currambene Creek, na motor launch now being completed by the owner, Mr. Deprose.  The boat nwhich is 37 ft long when in the water will represent one of nthe best of this kind of craft built on the Currambene.  She nwill have all conveniences for holiday makers,  men, women, and children nwho may decide on a day’s outing on Jervis Bay.
nThe correspondent in verse concludes with the following advice to Mr nDeprose on the subject of naming the launch:

n

Out in the bush he felled the frame
nAnd bought it to this scene,
nWith skillful hands he built it up
nClose to the Currambene

n

Assisted by his good wife Jean
nNo failure did he fear,
nShe was the only help he had
nHis manly heart to cheer.

n

Soon the launch will leave the slips
nTo kiss the Currambene
nI hope he’ll leave the names aside
nAnd call her little Jean.

n

I have been unable to find any more information about this vessel
nI wonder if he ended up naming her Little Jean?
