Samuel Elyard

An Australian artist who painted and later photographed Cape St George Lighthouse near Jervis Bay. Some of his works are on display at the museum at this time.
nYou can see from the picture below he faithfully painted what he saw.  I took the photograph a few days ago, Elyard’s painting dates back to the late 1870’s.
